Streiff Clutch, Black
Streiff Clutch, Black
The name of the clutches are “Streiff”, which were the name of a famous war horse that belonged to a Swedish king. The stallion was of the breed Oldenburger. Since “Streiff” was an exceptionally large horse they thought that was a good name for their oversized clutches. Most of the clutches have bridles which actually come from the Swedish Cavalry. The little smaller clutch in oxblood has a bridle from the 19th century. They also thought that the version with fringe looks like the hair of a horse, so a perfect name is “Streiff”.
The horse Streiff can be seen at the Royal Army museum at the Royal Castle in Stockholm, Sweden.
All the clutches are oversize and hand sewn in leather by Lars JO Larsson. They are all one of a kind, none is identical to the other, they are all unique. Each bag comes with a hand-stitched jute dust bag.
